Matsuya launched two dishes, the “Beef Short Rib & Offal Bowl” and “Matsuya’s Yakiniku Beef Bowl,” today, August 11, 2026, at 10:00 AM, at Matsuya locations nationwide excluding some stores. Both are bowl dishes featuring beef grilled to a savory finish on the teppan, and the content previewed in the August 6 notice, “Two Straight-Up Beef Dishes, Grilled on the Iron Plate,” has now been reflected on the menu page as the release date arrives. The prices, release date and time, and eligible stores are unchanged from the preview.

The “Beef Short Rib & Offal Bowl” is priced at 990 yen (tax included, hereafter the same). It combines beef short rib packed with umami and springy-textured beef offal, topped with colorful garlic sprouts. Matsuya’s official website describes it as an “ultimate combination bursting with stamina” that “really makes the rice go down.”

“Matsuya’s Yakiniku Beef Bowl” comes in three sizes: Small Serving at 600 yen, Regular Serving at 630 yen, and Large Serving at 850 yen. According to the official website, the renewed “ultimate sauce” brings out the umami of the meat, coating juicy beef and crisp, savory-fried onions in the special sauce. It’s also available for takeout, in which case miso soup is charged separately.

The two dishes were previewed in stages starting five days before launch. The August 6 notice announced the release date and time (August 11 at 10:00 AM), eligible stores (Matsuya locations nationwide, excluding some stores), and all prices. The following day, August 7, the notice’s thumbnail image was swapped for an actual photo of the dishes, and that same day at 18:00, the official X account (@matsuya_foods) reiterated the news, posting “On sale from 10:00 AM, Tuesday, August 11.” On August 10, Matsuya further announced that, starting August 11, it would distribute a free service voucher redeemable for one Small Serving Boneless Short Rib when three are collected.

Following this series of previews, the dishes joined the bowl menu on launch day exactly as announced.
