On the night of August 13, Matsuya’s official X account posted a photo of the ‘Beef Short Rib & Offal Bowl’, released on August 11, topped with a soft-boiled egg. The post reads, “I’m the type who just has to put a soft-boiled egg on any rice bowl” and “Don’t you think a soft-boiled egg feels like a treat? lol”, and it also mentions the service vouchers currently being handed out.

Debuting at 990 Yen: A Bowl Pairing Boneless Short Rib and Offal

The Beef Short Rib & Offal Bowl went on sale on August 11 for 990 yen. It is a bowl of beef boneless short rib and offal stir-fried together in a sweet soy sauce, garnished with garlic sprouts and white sesame seeds. Bowls that put offal front and center are rare at Matsuya, and at launch the official account described it as a Limited-time item released alongside another. ‘Matsuya’s Yakiniku Beef Bowl’ also went on sale on August 11.

In this post, the official account showed the bowl with a soft-boiled egg on top. The runny yolk clings to the sweet soy sauce and the meat, and the account shares its preference for breaking the yolk over the bowl: “I just want to put a soft-boiled egg on rice bowls” and “Don’t you think a soft-boiled egg feels like a treat?”

Collect Three for a Free Small Serving Boneless Short Rib: Service Vouchers Now Being Handed Out

Later in the post, the account also promoted the service vouchers now being handed out: “Service vouchers are being handed out!! Collect 3 and get a free Small Serving Boneless Short Rib!
