Matsuya's Official X Account Uses a Green Light Visual to Signal It's Time to Buy 'MATSUYA PASS'
On July 3, Matsuya’s official X account (@matsuya_foods) once again encouraged customers to buy the popular ‘MATSUYA PASS’ subscription ticket, posting, ‘If you’re still on the fence, now might be the time to hit the accelerator.’ The post highlighted the time remaining on the pass, noting ‘You can use it as many times as you like through July 31,’ and added the hashtag ‘#SorryIfItsSoldOut.’
A Green Light Visual Says “Let’s Go Buy It”
The accompanying visual features a large green traffic light against a blue sky, overlaid with the copy “This green light is your signal.” and “MATSUYA PASS — let’s go buy it.” The design draws on the green light’s meaning of “go” to encourage a purchase. In the bottom right, the card for the July edition of the pass is also shown, indicating that it can be used via the Matsuya App or ticket vending machines, that eligible set meals get a 100 yen discount while Beef Bowls, other bowl dishes, and Curry and Rice get a 70 yen discount, and that the usage period runs from Wednesday, July 1, 2026, through Friday, July 31, 2026.
Usable Any Number of Times Through July 31, for 200 Yen and Up to 100 Yen Off
MATSUYA PASS is the July edition of the subscription ticket, released on June 26, priced at 200 yen (tax included). Once purchased, it discounts eligible menu items any number of times during its usage period: classic set meals get 100 yen off, while Beef Bowls, other bowl dishes, and Curry and Rice get 70 yen off. It can be used via the Matsuya App (Matsuben Net and Matsuya Mobile Order) as well as at ticket vending machines, and is valid not only at Matsuya but also at affiliated chains such as Matsunoya and My Curry Shokudo. Since supplies are limited, the post included the hashtag ‘#SorryIfItsSoldOut,’ noting that sales will end once stock runs out.

Editor's Note
Using a green light to say "let's go buy it" is a clever signal. Given how many days are left to use it, buying sooner really does pay off.
