A 40 Yen Cut, After Nutritional Values Were Corrected the Day Before
On the official website, the price listed as 310 yen at the time of Hiyajiru’s debut on August 4 was cut by 40 yen to 270 yen on August 5. This is the price for it as a Choice of Side attached to the main dish of a Lunch Set, a separate pricing tier from ordering it on its own as a regular Side Dish.
The nutritional values for the same Hiyajiru had also been corrected the day before, on August 4. Calories were revised from 162 kcal to 199 kcal, fat from 7.7g to 10.8g, and salt from 2.7g to 4.7g — all adjusted upward. Continuing on from launch day, the initial nutritional and price figures ended up being corrected on two consecutive days.
Hiyajiru is not the only case of an initial listed price being corrected right after launch. For the Matsuya Original Sauce Roast Beef Beef Bowl, released on July 28, the price was likewise corrected on launch day itself, from 1,150 yen to 880 yen.
The Soup Slot Among the Choice of Side Options Has Rotated From Miso Soup With Pork & Vegetables to Samgyetang-style Soup to Hiyajiru
The item occupying the soup slot among the lunch Choice of Side options has rotated over the past roughly four months, from Miso Soup with Pork & Vegetables Only, to Samgyetang-style Soup Only, to Hiyajiru Only. The Choice of Side price has also climbed in stages, from 120 yen to 210 yen to 270 yen.
For every one of these soups, ordering it as a lunch Choice of Side comes out 120 yen cheaper than ordering it on its own as a regular Side Dish. That 120 yen gap has held steady across every rotation of the soup item.
