Matsuya's 'Bundled Side Dish Takeout Deal Campaign' Launches Today, Up to 250 Yen Off 6 Prepared Foods

Matsuya Foods launched the “Bundled Side Dish Takeout Deal Campaign” at 10:00 AM on August 3, 2026, limited to Matsuben Net and Matsuya Mobile Order. Customers can freely combine any types and sizes among 6 eligible prepared foods, and buying them together brings up to 250 yen off the combined price (the sum of each item’s individual price). The campaign runs through 11:59 PM on Sunday, August 16. It was announced in a notice on Matsuya’s official website.

The Discount Has 4 Tiers Based on Quantity Purchased, in 100-Yen Increments

The bulk-purchase discount comes in 4 tiers depending on how many items are combined. Regardless of whether the unit prices are high or low, the amount discounted is determined solely by the quantity.

Because the discount amount is fixed by quantity, combining more low-priced items yields a higher discount rate. For example, combining 5 orders of the cheapest item, Simmered Beef & Onion (Regular Serving) Only (370 yen), brings the total from 1,850 yen down to 1,600 yen with the 250 yen discount — an effective 13.5% off. On the other hand, combining 5 orders of the Double-size Yakiniku Beef Only (1,380 yen) brings 6,900 yen down to 6,650 yen with the same 250 yen discount, for a discount rate of just 3.6%. Even with the same “250 yen off,” the perceived value varies greatly depending on what you choose.

6 Prepared Foods Are Eligible, With Double Sizes Also Included for Yakiniku Beef, Yakiniku Boneless Short Rib, and More

The eligible items are the following 6. For 4 of them — Yakiniku Beef, Yakiniku Boneless Short Rib, Yakiniku Pork Loin, and Stir-fried Pork with Ginger Soy Sauce — the Double size with an increased meat portion can also be used in combinations.

The lowest anchor price is 370 yen for Simmered Beef & Onion (Regular Serving) Only, and the highest is 1,380 yen for the Double size of Yakiniku Beef or Yakiniku Boneless Short Rib. Only the Regular Serving is eligible for Simmered Beef & Onion — the Large Serving (480 yen) is not included — and since Founding Beef Curry and Rice has no Double option, the unit price for these two items never jumps higher. For example, combining one Simmered Beef & Onion (Regular Serving) Only with one Founding Beef Curry and Rice Only brings the combined price of 930 yen down to 830 yen as a 2-item set.

Eligibility Is Limited to Takeout Orders via Matsuben Net and Mobile Order

Orders are limited to Matsuben Net and Matsuya Mobile Order (Takeout); Matsuben Delivery, dine-in use of Matsuya Mobile Order, and the website version and mini-app of Matsuben Net are not eligible. Shareholder benefit vouchers cannot be used either. Eligibility is based on the pickup date and time. Eligible stores are Matsuya locations nationwide, excluding the Haneda Innovation City Store, the Narita Airport Terminal 3 Store, and stores located within parking areas; items may not be available where a menu item is not handled or is sold out.

Eligible Items Narrowed from 9 to 6 Since the Previous June Round, While the Discount Tiers Stay the Same Across All 3 Rounds

The same-named “Bundled Side Dish Takeout Deal Campaign” was also held from June 2 to 15, making this a resumption roughly 7 weeks after the previous round ended. Looking further back, the bulk-purchase deal for prepared foods under its predecessor, “Side Dish à la Carte,” had 11 eligible items in December 2025, narrowed to 9 in June, and now to 6 this time — the lineup has been trimmed with each successive round. Meanwhile, the discount tiers — “100 yen off for 2 items” up to “250 yen off for 5 items” — have remained completely identical across all three rounds.

Looking at the lineup, 4 items — Simmered Beef & Onion (Regular Serving) Only, Founding Beef Curry and Rice Only, Yakiniku Beef Only, and Yakiniku Boneless Short Rib Only — are regulars that have stayed eligible for 3 rounds running. The previous June round lined up 9 items, adding Grilled Thick Pork Loin, Thick Pork Steak, Grilled Thick Pork with Chimichurri Sauce, Cheese-Filled Umatoma Hamburg Steak, and Cheese-Filled Demi-glace Egg Hamburg Steak to these 4. This time, these grilled and hamburg-steak items have dropped out, replaced by Yakiniku Pork Loin Only and Stir-fried Pork with Ginger Soy Sauce Only joining the eligible list. It’s a lineup that trims the item count while beefing up the yakiniku line.

Matsuya App and Matsuben Net Promotions Are Concentrated in Early August

This campaign is also one of several Matsuya App-related promotions running in parallel during the first half of August.
