At 10:08 on May 12, a simultaneous reorganization of three curry category items was reflected in the menu data on Matsuya’s official website. As announced in advance, “Chunky Stewed Chicken Curry and Rice” was delisted, while “Butter Chicken Curry and Rice” and “Cream Butter Curry and Rice,” both launched at 10:00 that day, were reclassified into the limited-time category.

This morning, both Batachiki and Cream Butter Curry were added to the menu at 9:38, and at that point they were registered under the regular category rather than as limited-time items. Eight minutes after the 10:00 launch today, at 10:08, the reclassification into the limited-time category was reflected.

Time Status
9:38 Batachiki and Cream Butter Curry added to menu under regular category
10:00 Batachiki and Cream Butter Curry launched
10:08 (this update) Batachiki and Cream Butter Curry reclassified to limited-time category + Gorochiki delisted

The same pattern was observed on April 21 with the Salt-based Green Onion Bowl: registered under the regular category in the 9 o’clock hour, then reclassified into the limited-time category in the 10 o’clock hour. This 30-minute-interval reclassification has become a standard operating pattern.

Timeline of Gorochiki’s Listing Period and Changes

“Chunky Stewed Chicken Curry and Rice” was relaunched on April 14 at 10:00 for a roughly one-month limited run, giving it a sales period of about 28 days until it was delisted today, May 12, at 10:08.

Discontinuation Notice (annotated “To Be Discontinued Successively”) May 5, 2026, 10:09
Discontinued / delisted from menu (this update) May 12, 2026, 10:08

With a sales period of about one month, the schedule ran seven days from the May 5 discontinuation notice to today’s delisting. Batachiki and Cream Butter Curry have started out today classified under the “limited-time category,” a structure that suggests they too are expected to be delisted eventually.

Batachiki and Cream Butter Curry’s Limited-time Classification Aligns with Curry 50-Point Boost Eligibility

The reclassification of Batachiki and Cream Butter Curry into the limited-time category aligns with the composition of the eight items eligible for the “Curry 50-Point Boost Campaign” (through May 18), which began at 10:00 today. All eight items eligible for the 50-point boost are positioned as limited-time menu items, and the category reclassification at 10:08 today brings them into alignment with the campaign’s eligibility criteria.

Editor's Note

Eight minutes after the 10:00 launch, Batachiki and Cream Butter Curry were reclassified into the limited-time category, with Gorochiki delisted at the same time. The 30-minute reclassification interval from 9:38 to 10:08 is a standard pattern also observed with the Salt-based Green Onion Bowl.
