The item went on sale that day at 10:00 a.m., and the notification was sent shortly after, just past 10:30 a.m. In its official announcement, Matsuya described the item as making a ‘limited-time comeback.’

The Notification Body Is a Shortened Quote from the Official Announcement

The notification body reads: “Spicy kimchi and nicely grilled pork will have you reaching for more rice🍚💨.” This is a shortened version of a line from the official announcement dated August 20: “The Pork & Kimchi Set Meal, combining our house-made Mt. Fuji Kimchi — whose spiciness and mild tartness whet the appetite — with nicely grilled pork, is guaranteed to have you reaching for more rice, and it’s making a limited-time comeback.” The phrases “spicy,” “nicely grilled pork,” and “reaching for more rice” appear in the same order as in the original. The 🍚💨 at the end does not appear in the official announcement text — it was added only for the notification.

The Title’s ‘Stamina Charge’ Is a Phrase Unique to the Notification

The notification’s title reads: “Stamina Charge💪 ‘Pork & Kimchi Set Meal’ Now on Sale❗️” This exact phrase, “Stamina Charge,” does not appear in the same form in either the official announcement text or the official X post that previewed the launch. The announcement text ends with “Please enjoy this stamina-packed dish, all the more welcome in the hot season,” and the official X post from August 21 likewise reads, “This is a stamina-packed menu item coated in Matsuya’s special sauce!” — both use “stamina-packed,” making “Stamina Charge” a phrase written specifically for the notification.

The Four Emoji Added to the Notification
