Temporarily Closed from 15:00 on July 23, Reopening Scheduled for 10:00 on August 7

Matsuya Asakusabashi Minami Branch is a 24-hour operation store located at Residia Nihonbashi-Bakurocho II, 2-6-14 Nihonbashi-Bakurocho, Chuo City, Tokyo, with a co-located My Curry Shokudo. According to this notice, the store will suspend operations at 15:00 on July 23 and is scheduled to resume at 10:00 on August 7, with the co-located My Curry Shokudo expected to be suspended at the same time. Since a reopening date has been specified in advance, the closure appears to be a temporary one tied to renovation or similar work.

Tokyo Has 336 Stores, With Temporary Closure Notices Continuing Through Summer

Tokyo has 336 Matsuya stores, the most of any prefecture in the country, and this closure involves just one of those stores stepping away from operation for about two weeks; since a reopening on August 7 is expected, it does not represent a permanent reduction in store count. Matsuya has recently seen a string of Temporarily Closed notices at locations around the country, including the Nakamurabashi Branch (15:00 on July 17 to 15:00 on July 24) and the Komaki Branch (July 15 to 22), suggesting that renovations are concentrated during the summer season.

Those planning to visit the Asakusabashi Minami Branch should keep in mind the closure period from 15:00 on July 23 to 10:00 on August 7.

Editor's Note

The Asakusabashi Minami Branch is taking about two weeks to recharge. By August 7, the co-located curry shop should be back in action too, full of energy.
