On Tuesday, September 29, 2026, Matsuya will hold its “Matsuya Meat Day Campaign,” available only for orders placed through Matsuya Foods’ official apps, “Matsuben Net” and “Matsuya Mobile Order.” The Yakiniku Beef Large Serving Set Meal and the Boneless Short Rib Yakiniku Large Serving Set Meal will each be 200 yen off the regular price, while the Umatoma Hamburg Steak Set Meal and the Hamburg Steak with Brown Sauce Set Meal will each be 100 yen off. The campaign runs from 0:00 to 23:59 on that day and can be used for both dine-in and takeout.

Four eligible items, with two discount tiers of 200 yen and 100 yen

The Large Serving Yakiniku Beef Set Meal and Large Serving Yakiniku Boneless Short Rib Set Meal are the large-serving versions of the yakiniku set meals, and their regular price of 1,380 yen is in the highest price range in the current set meal category. It ties with the Hamburg Steak with Brown Sauce and Cheese Set Meal and the Cheese Umatoma Hamburg Steak Set Meal for the top price. The discounted price of 1,180 yen after 200 yen off is exactly the same as the regular price of the Umatoma Hamburg Steak Set Meal and the Hamburg Steak with Brown Sauce Set Meal (both double-patty), which are also eligible this time. Those two Hamburg Steak items drop to 1,080 yen with 100 yen off, a price point at which no other item in the current set meal category sits.

Pork items drop out and Hamburg Steak set meals join in September

The “Matsuya Meat Day Campaign” is a recurring discount held on the app only, around the 29th of each month. The 200 yen discount on the Large Serving Yakiniku Beef Set Meal and Large Serving Yakiniku Boneless Short Rib Set Meal has been a fixed part of the lineup since April 2026. The items added alongside them have changed from month to month: in the announcements from April through August, large-serving pork set meals such as Large Serving Grilled Pork Loin, Yakiniku Pork Loin, Stir-fried Pork with Ginger Soy Sauce, and Pork & Kimchi appeared almost every month. None of these pork items are included in this September lineup.

What joins instead are the two Hamburg Steak set meals. This is not the first time Umatoma Hamburg Steak items have been part of the Meat Day Campaign: on June 29, 2026, the Umatoma Hamburg Steak Set Meal Triple and the Cheese Umatoma Hamburg Steak Set Meal Triple were eligible for 200 yen off. This time the eligible items are the double-patty versions rather than the triple, and the discount is 100 yen rather than 200 yen.

In past Meat Day Campaigns, every eligible item received a uniform 200 yen discount. This time, the discount splits into two tiers depending on the item: 200 yen off for the two yakiniku Large Serving set meals and 100 yen off for the two Hamburg Steak set meals. Also, the Hamburg Steak with Brown Sauce Set Meal that is eligible for the discount is an item that returned at the end of June 2026 for the first time in about seven months.

In addition, September 29, the day of this campaign, is also the day the new menu item “Black Mapo Tofu Set Meal” goes on sale at 10:00 (the Black Mapo Tofu Set Meal is announced in a separate notice).

App orders only, and one day only on September 29

The discount is available only for orders placed through “Matsuben Net” or “Matsuya Mobile Order” within the official Matsuya Foods app. Purchases at ticket vending machines or tablets are not eligible, and “Matsuben Delivery” is not included either. It can be used for both dine-in and takeout, but takeout orders do not come with miso soup, which must be purchased separately.

The campaign applies at Matsuya stores nationwide, with some exceptions. Haneda Innovation City Store, Narita Airport Terminal 3 Store, and expressway parking area stores are excluded. Selling prices may differ at some stores. The campaign period is a single day only, from 0:00 to 23:59 on Tuesday, September 29.
