Matsuya's Official X Account Urges Early Purchase of 'MATSUYA PASS' With a To-Do List-Style Image
Matsuya’s official X account (@matsuya_foods) posted on the morning of July 6 to encourage purchases of the “MATSUYA PASS” subscription pass service. The post included an image styled like a daily “to-do list,” introducing it with the caption, “This is my to-do list for the day. The very first thing I did was buy a MATSUYA PASS!” It continued, “Have you all bought yours yet? If not, it’s valid through the end of this month, so get it soon,” adding the hashtag “#WhileSuppliesLast” to encourage early purchases.
Buying the pass tops the “to-do list,” blended into everyday tasks
The image is composed like a sheet of loose-leaf paper, written in a handwritten style reading “TO DO LIST” and “Today’s To-Do List.” Among everyday tasks listed such as “Reply to emails,” “Submit assignment,” “Draft proposal,” and “Attend meeting,” only “Buy a MATSUYA PASS” is highlighted as completed with a blue checkmark and highlighter marking. The last item, “Eat at Matsuya,” remains unchecked, depicting a flow of getting the pass before heading out to eat. Next to the list sits a light-blue July edition card, with an arrow pointing to the “buy” task. In the bottom right of the list, Matsuya’s official mascot Macky appears smiling alongside an illustration of a Matsuya store.
By slipping the pass purchase in among everyday tasks that come up between work and study, the presentation appears aimed at framing the purchase as something familiar — just another “thing to do today.”
July edition offers 100 yen off set meals, 70 yen off Beef Bowl and Curry and Rice Bowl
According to the card shown in the image, the July edition offers 100 yen off set meals and 70 yen off Beef Bowl and Curry and Rice Bowl items. The valid period runs from 12:00 a.m. on July 1, 2026 to 11:59 p.m. on July 31, 2026. It can be used at Matsuya as well as Matsunoya and My Curry Shokudo, and requires scanning a QR code via the Matsuya App or the ticket vending machine before use. The post notes it’s “valid through the end of this month” and tags “#WhileSuppliesLast,” pointing to the within-month validity and limited quantity as reasons to buy early.
MATSUYA PASS promotion continues day after day
The July edition went on sale on June 26, and the official X account has continued posting about it from various angles since. The day before, on July 5, it published a “Color Hunting”-style collage image tied to the July edition’s light-blue color, and on July 4 it announced that a usability improvement eliminating the need to scan a QR code each time was in development. This time, the appeal was tied to everyday “things to do.”

Editor's Note
Having "buy the pass" as the top item on a to-do list is peak Matsuya priority-setting. It's kind of cute that the actual meal comes later.
