Matsuya’s Original Brand Song, ‘Anata wo Matsuyasashii Basho’

‘Anata wo Matsuyasashii Basho’ was written around the theme of “standing beside the everyday lives of people who are working hard.” According to the official announcement, the collaboration came together because Matsuya’s concept of wanting to be a “gentle place” that fills customers’ stomachs and hearts resonated with ORCALAND’s “energetic, warm musicality.” The song is described as a tie-up track that “emotionally expresses Matsuya’s warmth, gently standing beside the daily lives of people living each day to the fullest,” paired with ORCALAND’s “catchy yet powerful band sound.”

ORCALAND’s Comments: Beef Bowl and Memories of Their Student Days

ORCALAND shared comments on writing the song. They said they aimed to create “a track that plays easily, almost like background music, yet one that comes to mind unexpectedly and gives you a push forward—an ‘ordinary that isn’t really ordinary.’” On their relationship with Matsuya, the band said they had “relied on Matsuya since their student days,” that they “always ordered the Beef Bowl while watching friends eat the Kimchi Kalbi Bowl or Karegyu,” that “just eating the Beef Bowl can take you back to your student days,” and that it’s “a taste of youth you never get tired of, no matter how many times you eat it.” They also mentioned that the music video shoot included a scene of them eating Matsuya’s Beef Bowl, and that members who usually prefer set meals or limited-time items rediscovered the plain deliciousness of the standard Beef Bowl.

About ORCALAND

ORCALAND is a four-piece rock band from Tokyo’s Shimokitazawa. The band won the grand prize at the “No Big Deal Records 10th Anniversary Audition” in 2021–2022, ran the twelve-month-consecutive project “Jintori” in 2023, and held its first self-organized festival, “Nawabari Rock Festival,” in Shimokitazawa in 2024. It has also been announced that, starting in July 2026, the band will perform the opening theme for the TV anime “Ushiro no Shomen Kamui-san.” The Matsuya collaboration lands at a moment when the band’s national profile is expanding.

Where This Fits Among the 60th Anniversary Campaigns

Matsuya’s June 2026 lineup has been stacking payment promotions, new menu items, and point campaigns in quick succession: the 60th Founding Anniversary PayPay Coupon running June 1–30 (up to 40% back on June 15–16), the limited-quantity revival of “Shkmeruli” going on sale at 10 a.m. on June 16, and the Matsuya Mobile Order Triple Point Campaign starting the same day (June 16–30). Today adds the original in-store BGM rollout—the early airing of “Anata wo Matsuyasashii Basho”—at that same 10 a.m. mark. With the brand song launched simultaneously across three channels—in-store, official YouTube, and the Matsuya Foods website—starting from the same 10 a.m. moment, the structure uses music to stage the experience of Shkmeruli’s first day as well.

Editor's Note

Tapping a band on the rise—already locked in for a TV anime opening theme—shows sharp instincts. The rollout is thoughtfully staged too: in-store BGM first, then streaming, then the MV, then the album, building exposure step by step.
