Matsuya's Kanayama Store and Another Reopen Today at 3 PM After Temporary Closure

Two Matsuya locations reopened together on July 8, 2026 at 3 PM after being temporarily closed. The stores are Matsuya Kanayama Store (0210) in Aichi Prefecture and Matsuya Hakata Ekimae-dori Store (0490) in Fukuoka Prefecture, both of which resumed operations after temporary closures tied to renovations and other work.

Kanayama Store is a 24-hour location on the B1 floor of Carny Place Nagoya Kanayama. Hakata Ekimae-dori Store is a 24-hour location in the Taisei No. 2 Building, co-located with a My Curry Shokudo. With this reopening, both stores have had the temporary-closure notice removed from their names and returned to normal operations.

Kanayama Store’s Reopening Notice Went Back and Forth

Kanayama Store’s temporary closure was originally announced as an 8-day period running from July 1 to July 9, then withdrawn once and re-announced with a shortened 7-day period from July 1 to July 8. In the end, the store reopened at 3 PM on July 8, exactly as scheduled under this revised, shortened period. Hakata Ekimae-dori Store was one of the locations whose temporary-closure notice was added, along with three other stores, as of June 19, and it too reopened as planned. At Matsuya, temporary closures and reopenings tied to renovations are occurring one after another at locations nationwide during the summer season.
