Matsuya Kanshoji Store (1881), formerly located in Jonan Ward, Fukuoka City, has been removed from the store list on Matsuya’s official website. The store closed at 3:00 PM on May 29, and its disappearance from the list comes about a month after that closure.
Removed from the List About a Month After Closing
Kanshoji Store was located at SKY Building 1F, 1-22-45 Kanshoji, Jonan Ward, Fukuoka City, Fukuoka Prefecture. On May 13, a closure notice reading “Scheduled to close at 3:00 PM on May 29. Thank you for your patronage.” was posted under the store’s name, and the store closed as announced at 3:00 PM on May 29. After closing, the remarks field switched to guidance reading “Going forward, please visit Matsuya Fukuoka Arae Store (co-located with Matsunoya) or Matsuya Hoshikuma Store (co-located with Matsunoya).” On June 29, the store’s page itself was removed from the list.

The nearby stores named as alternatives at closing were both in Sawara Ward, Fukuoka City: Matsuya Fukuoka Arae Store (2282, 3-15-8 Arae, Sawara Ward) and Matsuya Hoshikuma Store (1368, 3-29-6 Hoshikuma, Sawara Ward), both of which are co-located with Matsunoya.
