Neither the store name nor its location is disclosed — in this recurring feature, followers must identify the store from the photo alone. This is the fifth installment, counting from the first on May 11.

“Which Matsuya Is This?” has run four times before today: the first installment on May 11, followed by May 15 and July 18, with the most recent one posted on August 5. The following morning, August 6, Matsuya’s official account gave its first-ever answer reveal, posting “Shin-Matsudo, correct!” — the store was Shin-Matsudo Store in Chiba. Today’s post comes just 3 days after that reveal and only 4 days after the previous quiz. Given that the gaps between May and July spanned across months, the posting pace has picked up sharply since August began. Earlier the same day, the account had already posted a ONE PIECE Collaboration Kids’ Menu at 11:00 AM and a suggestion for how to eat Hiyajiru at 12:40 PM, making this quiz the third post of the day.

Clues in the Photo

This photo captures a street-level store on the corner of a shopping district, shot at an angle from the front. However, no signage or station names directly indicating the store’s name or location appear in the shot, so the answer will have to wait for the official reveal. As of 4:02 PM on August 9, Matsuya’s official X account had not yet announced the correct answer.

The Irregular Quiz from 3 Days Earlier Still Awaits Its Answer

On the afternoon of August 6, the official X account also posted a differently phrased store quiz, showing a glass-fronted storefront captioned “…MATSUYA?? Where is this??”. As of this latest post, that one still has no confirmed answer, leaving two unresolved quizzes running in parallel. With this feature becoming a regular fixture, it will be worth watching when — and how — the official account reveals the answers together.
