Samgyetang Hands the Baton to “Hiyajiru,” as Announced by Matsuya

Of the six items, the Samgyetang-style Soup Only shows the clearest path to its end. The Samgyetang-style Soup Only was priced at 330 yen and 162 kcal. Among the standalone soups, it sat a step above the Miso Soup with Pork & Vegetables (240 yen) and just short of the Beef Plate (regular serving) at 370 yen.

Comparing prices, the Fluffy Egg Grilled Eel Bowl and the Eel Combo Beef Bowl match down to the yen at every size: 1,180 yen for Regular Serving, 1,880 yen for Double, and 2,580 yen for Triple. The Grilled Eel Bowl (980 yen) was a flat 200 yen cheaper across the board, priced at 1,680 yen for Double and 2,380 yen for Triple.

The Yatara Beef Bowl was offered in a range from Small Serving at 620 yen and Regular Serving at 650 yen to Large Topping-Only Serving at 820 yen, Large Serving at 870 yen, and Extra-large Serving at 1,050 yen. Among Regular Serving beef bowl prices, it sat a step above the Beef Bowl topped with Grated Radish & Ponzu Citrus Soy Sauce and the Kimchi Beef Bowl (560 yen each) and a step below the Beef Bowl topped with Green Onion and Soft Boiled Egg and the Cheese Beef Bowl (660 yen each), making it 190 yen pricier than the classic Beef Bowl (460 yen).

The Yatara Japanese-style Hamburg Steak Set Meal (1,180 yen) formed one corner of a three-way tie, priced exactly the same as the Hamburg Steak with Brown Sauce Set Meal and the Umatoma Hamburg Steak Set Meal.
