Matsuya’s new store, “Matsuya Sayama-dai Store (Matsunoya co-located)” (2304), opened today, September 30, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. in Sayama City, Saitama Prefecture. Located at 1-1-8 Sayama-dai, Sayama City, the store is co-located with Matsunoya, a chain specializing in tonkatsu, and operates 24 hours a day.

On Matsuya’s official website store list, this location had been listed as “Matsuya Sayama-dai Store (Matsunoya co-located) *Opening September 30 at 10:00 a.m.,” with a note announcing the opening date. Today, that note was removed and the store name switched to “Matsuya Sayama-dai Store (Matsunoya co-located),” confirming that it opened as scheduled.

Matsuya’s Fourth Store in Sayama City

Until now, three Matsuya stores had been operating in Sayama City: Matsuya Sayama Store (0234), Matsuya Sayamashi Ekimae Store (0893), and Matsuya Sayama Negishi Store (1774). The Sayama-dai Store becomes the fourth Matsuya store in the city, following these three.

Of these, the Sayama-dai Store is the only one co-located with Matsunoya, making it the sole location in Sayama City offering both Matsuya’s Beef Bowl and Matsunoya’s tonkatsu under one roof.

474 Matsunoya Co-located Stores Nationwide

Matsunoya co-located stores, which combine Matsuya’s Beef Bowl and Matsunoya’s tonkatsu in a single location, number 474 nationwide. These co-located stores are distinguished by offering tonkatsu menu items such as Loin Katsu Set Meal and Sauce Katsu Bowl alongside Beef Bowl and Curry and Rice, covering bowls, set meals, and tonkatsu all in one store. Since the Sayama-dai Store also operates 24 hours a day, customers can choose Beef Bowl in the morning and tonkatsu at night.

The location relative to the three existing stores in Sayama City, as well as the total number of Matsuya stores in Saitama Prefecture, were covered in the article announcing the September 30 opening.

Editor's Note

Open 24 hours and co-located with Matsunoya. Late at night in Sayama-dai, there's now one more place to agonize over Beef Bowl or tonkatsu.
