Matsuya Raises Kids' Beef Bowl and Curry Waku Waku Sets from 450 to 480 Yen Today

At 3 p.m. today, October 13, 2026, Matsuya raised the prices of its kids’ sets, the Kids’ Beef Bowl Waku Waku Set and the Kids’ Curry and Rice Waku Waku Set, from 450 yen to 480 yen each. The Matsuya official website’s menu page has also been updated to show both items at 480 yen. These two items were among those named in the price revision notice published on October 9, 2026, and the increase was carried out as announced.

Old and New Prices, and the Size of the Increase

The two items raised this time are both sets from the Kids’ Menu. Each rose from 450 yen to 480 yen, an increase of 30 yen, or roughly 6.7%.

Now the Same 480 Yen as the Regular Serving Beef Bowl

At the same time, 3 p.m. on October 13, 2026, Matsuya also raised prices across its Beef Bowl lineup, including the Regular Serving Beef Bowl, which rose from 460 yen to 480 yen. As a result, the new 480 yen price of the two Kids’ sets now lines up exactly with the new price of the Regular Serving Beef Bowl, Matsuya’s flagship item.

However, the size of the increase differs. While the Beef Bowl lineup rose by a flat 20 yen (about 4.3% for the Regular Serving), the two Kids’ sets rose by 30 yen (about 6.7%) — a larger increase than the Beef Bowl both in yen and in percentage. The flat 20-yen note attached to the Beef Bowl lineup at the end of the price revision notice does not apply to the Kids’ sets.

Price History Since the 400 Yen Launch

The Kids’ Waku Waku Set debuted at 400 yen when the Kids’ Menu was renewed on December 26, 2023. It was then raised to 450 yen in a price revision at 10 a.m. on November 18, 2025, making today’s move to 480 yen the second price revision since launch. This latest change comes roughly 11 months after the previous increase to 450 yen.

Nutritional Values Also Partly Changed in the 480 Yen Version (Beef Bowl Set)

For the Kids’ Beef Bowl Waku Waku Set, which has now switched to 480 yen, the listed nutritional values were also partly updated. Calories changed from 609 kcal to 605 kcal, protein from 12.8g to 14.2g, fat from 23.2g to 22.4g, carbohydrates from 84.7g to 85.9g, and salt equivalent from 1.9g to 2.1g.

Meanwhile, the nutritional values for the Kids’ Curry and Rice Waku Waku Set — 547 kcal, 10.3g protein, 14.7g fat, 90.5g carbohydrates, and 2.5g salt equivalent — remain unchanged by this revision.

Sumikko Gurashi Merchandise Continues, Revision Comes Right After a Point Campaign Ended

The included toy remains the Sumikko Gurashi collaboration item that launched on October 6, 2026, unchanged. The product images are also identical to those from October 6, meaning this change is limited to price alone. The toy bundled with the Kids’ Waku Waku Set has previously rotated through Chiikawa, Kobito Zukan, and ONE PIECE before Sumikko Gurashi, but this time the price revision comes without any update to the merchandise.

Separately, a campaign granting 50 Matsuya Points for purchases of the Kids’ Waku Waku Set ran from September 18 to October 6, 2026, and ended on October 6. This price revision follows right on the heels of that point campaign’s conclusion.
