Modeled on the Korean dish “Nakkopsae,” this spicy-savory menu comes in two forms: the “Korean-style Spicy-Savory Stir-fried Octopus Set Meal,” served with rice, and the bowl-style “Boneless Short Rib and Kimchi Bowl w/ Spicy Stir-fried Octopus.” The set meal is priced at either 980 yen or 1,080 yen depending on the store, meaning the same menu item carries a 100-yen difference.

According to the promotional image, the dish is served in a metal pan: octopus and onions stir-fried in a red spicy-savory sauce, topped with a generous heap of finely chopped scallions. A spicy-savory stir-fry starring octopus is a novel dish in Matsuya’s menu.

Among store-limited menus, last month “Chunky Chicken Marengo-style Set Meal” was likewise rolled out in two versions, Fond de Veau and Tomato, each at 35 stores, so launches split into multiple forms within the same fetch have continued. This time, the same Spicy-Savory Stir-fried Octopus is split by price.

Also, in the menu update at the same time, the store-limited “Beef Bowl topped with Four Cheeses,” which went on sale on October 6, has been delisted.
