At 890 yen, the price sits in the upper range of Matsuya’s set meal category. Among the permanent set meals, the Yakiniku Beef Set Meal and the Yakiniku Boneless Short Rib Set Meal are priced at the same 890 yen, and the Black Mapo Tofu Set Meal matches them. Above 890 yen, there is a gap up to 1,180 yen for the Umatoma Hamburg Steak Set Meal and the Hamburg Steak with Brown Sauce Set Meal. The 690-yen standalone price also matches the standalone prices of the Yakiniku Beef Set Meal and the Yakiniku Boneless Short Rib Set Meal, so both the set meal and the standalone dish are priced on par with the classic top-tier items.
