On September 1, Matsuya launched a “Comeback Campaign” on Matsuben Net, its takeout reservation service. Matsuya App members who haven’t ordered through Matsuben Net in over six months receive a “Comeback Coupon” that takes up to 70 yen off 12 items across Beef Bowls, Bowls, and Set Meals. The campaign runs from 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, to 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, September 30. The coupon arrives automatically on eligible members’ app order screens and can be used as many times as you like during the period.

12 eligible Beef Bowls, Bowls, and Set Meals, with discounts in three tiers: 30, 50, and 70 yen

The discount depends on the product category: 30 yen off for Beef Bowls, 50 yen off for Bowls, and 70 yen off for Set Meals. The higher the price range, the bigger the discount. All 12 eligible items are listed below. All prices include tax.

The maximum 70-yen discount applies to the four Set Meals. The Yakiniku Pork Loin Set Meal, at a regular 790 yen the cheapest in the Set Meal category, drops to 720 yen with the 70-yen discount. The Set Meal of Grilled Beef and the Set Meal of Grilled Boneless Short Rib are both 890 yen at regular price, the same price range as the Pork & Kimchi Set Meal (not eligible for this coupon) among Matsuya’s Set Meals.

Eligible items rotate from May, and the campaign returns to Matsuben Net only

A campaign of the same name, the “Comeback Campaign,” was also held in May 2026. It had the same 12-item structure as this one, but some of the items have changed. Four Hamburg Steak Set Meals that were eligible in May, the Demi-glace Egg Hamburg Steak Set Meal, the Tomato Hamburg Steak Meal, the Cheese Tomato Hamburg Steak Meal, and the Tomato Hamburg Steak Meal w/ Half-and-Half Beef, have been dropped from this round’s coupon. In their place, four items have been added: the Beef Bowl topped with Tomato and Cheese, the Salt-based Green Onion Pork Loin Bowl, the Yakiniku Pork Loin Set Meal, and the Stir-fried Pork with Ginger Soy Sauce Set Meal. Eight items remain eligible from May: the Beef Bowl topped with Green Onion and Soft Boiled Egg, the Beef Bowl topped with Grated Radish & Ponzu Citrus Soy Sauce, the Beef Bowl topped with Cheese, the Bowl of Mixed Simmered Beef and Kimchi, the Boneless Short Rib and Kimchi Bowl, the Beef Bibimbap Bowl, the Set Meal of Grilled Beef, and the Set Meal of Grilled Boneless Short Rib.

The eligible ordering channels have changed too. In May, “Matsuya Mobile Order” was eligible alongside “Matsuben Net.” This time the campaign is back to “Matsuben Net” only, and “Matsuya Mobile Order” and “Matsuben Delivery” are explicitly excluded. Matsuben Net is a takeout reservation service that lets you order in advance and pick up without waiting, and it supports prepayment by PayPay, d Barai, au PAY, Rakuten Pay, and more.

Also starting on September 1 is a Matsuya Mobile Order Triple Point Campaign (through September 14), and this one excludes “Matsuben Net” and “Matsuben Delivery.” Which promotion is the better deal depends on the ordering channel you use.

Newcomers in the spotlight join the coupon lineup

Some of the items newly added to the coupon lineup have been in the news just before. In the Bowl category, the Boneless Short Rib and Kimchi Bowl had only just appeared as a one-day-only item on Meat Day, August 29, and just three days later it joined the coupon lineup at Matsuben Net locations nationwide. Its regular price of 690 yen drops to 640 yen.

The other Bowl, the Beef Bibimbap Bowl, is an item whose “Bibim Sauce” was renewed on September 1, the same day the campaign began. The sauce refresh and the start of the discount landed on the same day. The Beef Bibimbap Bowl also goes from a regular 690 yen to 640 yen. The Beef Bowl topped with Tomato and Cheese, newly eligible in the Beef Bowl category, is regularly 690 yen. Apart from the Roast Beef Bowl (1,150 yen), it is the priciest Beef Bowl, and it is served at 660 yen after the 30-yen discount.

Terms of use and participating stores

The coupon can be used only by Matsuya App members who registered by February 28, 2026, and did not order through Matsuben Net from March 1 to August 31, 2026. The method of looking back over six months of non-ordering, with the six-month lookback period always cut off from the end of the month before the campaign month, follows the same approach as the May campaign.

Participating stores are Matsuya locations nationwide. However, the Haneda Innovation City Store, the Narita Airport Terminal 3 Store, and stores inside parking areas are excluded. Other notes: takeout orders do not include miso soup, which costs extra; shareholder benefit vouchers can be used on all eligible menu items; and items cannot be provided if sold out. The campaign period is determined by the pickup date and time.

How to order through Matsuben Net

The coupon is delivered automatically to eligible members’ app screens, so if you qualify, simply place an order through Matsuben Net and the discount is applied. Here is how to order from the official Matsuya App.

First, tap the “Place an Order” button in the center of the app, or “Order” at the bottom of the screen.

From the list of ordering channels, choose “Matsuben Net” at the very top.

Select the store you’ll use. You can search by store name or current location.

Specify the pickup date and time.

Choose the items you want, tap “Proceed to Checkout,” and go on to the payment screen.

Finally, select a payment method and tap “Confirm Order” to finish.
