Matsuya's Official X Introduces Today's Opening of 'Kuki Shobu Store' with Comments from the On-Site Manager

At 12:53 PM on October 27, 2026, Matsuya’s official X account (@matsuya_foods) introduced Matsuya Kuki Shobu Store (2608), which opened that same day, along with comments from the on-site manager. It is the second Matsuya location in Kuki City, following Kuki Honmachi Store (2234), which opened in May. The official X post is an announcement accompanied by photos of the scene on opening day.

The On-Site Manager’s Comment and “A Large Parking Lot with Four Spaces”

The post opens with “To everyone in Kuki City, Saitama!” and reports that Kuki Shobu Store, a Matsuya/Matsunoya co-located store and the second Matsuya location in Kuki City, has opened right near Molage Shobu. It then introduces the on-site manager’s words with “Here are some comments from our on-site manager (´∀｀)”: “We have one of the few large parking lots among Matsuya stores, with four spaces. We look forward to your visit!” The post closes by stating the address: “〒346-0106 4011 Shobu, Shobu-machi, Kuki-shi, Saitama.”

With this new Kuki Shobu Store, Matsuya now has two locations in Kuki City. The first, Kuki Honmachi Store, opened on May 9, 2026, and was reported at the time as both Matsuya’s first store in Kuki City and its 100th store in Saitama Prefecture. About half a year later, a second location has joined it in the same Matsunoya co-located format. Kuki Shobu Store is located in Shobu, Shobu-machi, Kuki City, which, as the post mentions, is near the large commercial facility Molage Shobu.

The Emoticon Added to the Opening Announcement

In past posts where Matsuya’s official X account announced an opening with comments from the on-site manager, the sentence announcing the opening was typically paired with the emoticon (╹◡╹), ending with a double exclamation mark “!!”. In this post for Kuki Shobu Store, (´∀｀) is placed right after “Here are some comments from our on-site manager,” and the exclamation mark is limited to a single “!”. (´∀｀) is an emoticon that the official account has typically used for lighter remarks, such as cheering on Meat Day or announcing a fair, and it is unusual to see it placed in a post announcing a store opening.
