Matsuya Revises Nutrition Facts for 6 Beef Plate Items, Prices Unchanged

MenuUpdated

Matsuya revised the nutrition values of six single-item beef plate side menu items, including the “Beef Plate,” at 3:00 PM on October 13, 2026, with prices left unchanged. The date coincided with a price revision that included increases for Beef Bowls, but the beef plate side items did not move by a single yen. Instead, the nutrition figures for all six items were rewritten together.

Prices Unchanged, Only Nutrition Facts Changed

The six items are the Beef Plate (Regular Serving and Large Serving), Green Onion and Soft-boiled Egg Beef Plate, Beef Plate w/ Grated Radish and Ponzu Citrus Soy Sauce, Kimchi Beef Plate, Cheese Beef Plate, and Tomato and Cheese Beef Plate. For each, energy, protein, fat, and carbohydrates were revised from the values published as of September 1. Prices remain unchanged at every size. The table below compares the September 1 figures with the new ones.

Item (Size) Price Energy Protein Fat Carbohydrates Salt Equivalent
Beef Plate (Regular Serving) 370 yen 299→284kcal 9.8→11.8g 26.9→25.3g 4.3→5.1g 1.1→1.1g
Beef Plate (Large Serving) 480 yen 377→357kcal 12.4→14.8g 33.7→31.6g 6.0→6.7g 1.6→1.5g
Green Onion and Soft-boiled Egg Beef Plate 570 yen 433→418kcal 17.3→19.4g 34.2→32.6g 13.3→14.1g 2.5→2.4g
Beef Plate w/ Grated Radish and Ponzu Citrus Soy Sauce 470 yen 326→311kcal 10.9→13.0g 27.1→25.5g 9.6→10.4g 2.6→2.6g
Kimchi Beef Plate 470 yen 348→333kcal 11.5→13.5g 27.8→26.1g 13.3→14.1g 2.9→2.8g
Cheese Beef Plate 570 yen 458→444kcal 17.9→19.9g 40.3→38.6g 5.9→6.7g 2.0→2.0g
Tomato and Cheese Beef Plate 600 yen 545→530kcal 21.3→23.3g 45.9→44.3g 11.1→11.9g 3.1→3.1g

The Direction of the Revision Across All Six Items

The figures moved in nearly the same way across the six items. Energy fell by 14 to 20 kcal at all seven sizes, and protein rose by 2.0 to 2.4 g in every case. Fat dropped by 1.6 to 2.1 g, while carbohydrates rose by 0.7 to 0.8 g. Salt equivalent fell by 0.1 g for three items (the Large Serving Beef Plate, the Green Onion and Soft-boiled Egg Beef Plate, and the Kimchi Beef Plate) and was unchanged for the rest.

The same pattern, with more protein and less fat and energy, appears uniformly across all six items despite their different seasonings. This suggests that the recipe or cooking method of the base beef plate they all share was reviewed, and the change carried through to every item.

Among the six, the Tomato and Cheese Beef Plate still has the highest energy after the revision, at 530kcal, and at 600 yen it is also the most expensive of the group.

A Run of Nutrition Revisions

Nutrition values for Matsuya’s side menu items have been revised several times lately. On September 2, the nutrition facts for the standalone “Green Onion and Soft-boiled Egg” topping (200 yen; a separate item from the Green Onion and Soft-boiled Egg Beef Plate in this revision) were updated. That time, energy edged up from 132 to 134kcal and salt equivalent dropped from 1.8 to 1.4g, the opposite direction from this one.

The six beef plate items are single-item menu options whose prices were held steady even as Beef Bowl prices went up in the price revision. Prices stay the same, protein goes up, and energy and fat come down. The figures have been replaced from their September values.

Editor's Note

If you get more protein for the same price, that might be a small win for anyone who likes to have a few drinks with a beef plate.
