At 11:00 a.m. on August 30, Matsuya’s official X account (@matsuya_foods) posted again to introduce the Kids’ Menu bonus “Name Charm,” currently being distributed as part of the second round of its TV anime ONE PIECE collaboration. Under the promotion, ordering one Kids’ Menu item gets you one of all 12 types of “Name Charm” at random; distribution of the bonus itself began at 10:00 a.m. on August 18.

A Conversational Post Featuring the Word “Guaranteed”

This post opens with “Let’s make the best memories at Matsuya!” and continues, “Eat a Kids’ Menu item and you’re guaranteed to get a random ‘Name Charm (12 types in all)’!” A single meat emoji appears at the start of the text, and it closes with the colloquial line, “All aboard for your nearest Matsuya!”

The post uses the word “guaranteed,” foregrounding the fact that ordering assures you of receiving one. The official announcement published on August 14 stated only that “there are 12 designs in all” and that they are “given as a random gift,” without any phrase equivalent to “guaranteed.”

In addition, the most recent run of posts had focused on concrete ways to use the “Name Charm” — attaching it to school or lesson bags on August 23, and to a water bottle on August 29. This time, rather than usage, the emphasis shifts to the anticipation of the distribution itself — which design you’ll get — showing a change in angle even while covering the same bonus.

The Kids’ Menu and All 12 Charm Designs

The image attached to the post shows, held in a hand, a monochrome charm featuring the Straw Hat Pirates’ jolly roger (a skull wearing a straw hat, with the words “STRAW HAT CREW”), leading a lineup of charms in different colors themed around main characters such as Luffy and Chopper, and a sailing ship. The strap colors each differ — red, blue, green, purple, orange, yellow, and more — with all 12 types laid out on a table.

In the upper right, the shot also captures a Kids’ Menu bowl (beef topping, one sausage, and rice) served in a collaboration-design container, along with orange and yellow fruit jelly, composing the image to show the flow from ordering to receiving the bonus. Positioned as a Midpoint Update in the Second Collaboration Round

The ONE PIECE collaboration is structured in two rounds: the first, which began on June 30, distributed all 12 types of “Original Sticker Sheet,” and the second, starting at 10:00 a.m. on August 18, switched the giveaway item to all 12 types of “Name Charm.” The second round runs from 10:00 a.m. on August 18 through 9:59 a.m. on October 6, and this post amounts to a reminder roughly two weeks after it began. The approach of attaching merchandise to the Kids’ Menu is itself a standard format carried over from the first round’s stickers, and this post is a repeated call-out for its second-round version.

Additionally, within this same second round, a separate promotion is also running in which following the official account and reposting the target post enters you into a drawing for a complete set of chopstick rests and 5,000 Matsuya Points, awarded to 10 winners; the entry period for that promotion runs through 11:59 p.m. on August 30.

Editor's Note

With 12 types up for grabs, you can't help but want to collect them all. Which one you get is a surprise until you open it.
